Miami Heat: Retro Dade Announces "Live on 305" at Vivo! Plaza

There is no day quite like March 5th in Miami-Dade, and this year, Retro Dade is taking the celebration to a new level. In partnership with Only in Dade and Unkwn Hospitality, "Live on 305" is set to transform Vivo! Plaza (Dolphin Mall) into a central hub for Miami’s vibrant music and street culture.

Starting at the symbolic time of 3:05 PM, the event will feature a non-stop rotation of the city’s most legendary DJs. But there’s a twist: the performances remain unannounced. Attendees can expect a series of impromptu "pop-up" sets as DJs like Sam Sneak, DJ Obscene, and Silent Addy bring out special guest artists to represent the sound of the streets.

EVENT INFO

Beyond the music, "Live on 305" remains a community-first initiative. The event is free to the public, featuring local vendors and food that represent the diverse fabric of Miami. Whether you’re there for the surprise guest appearances or the curated community vibes, this is the only place to be when the clock strikes 3:05.

THE OFFICIAL 3.0.5. DAY SOUNDTRACK

Miami is a city of two faces. There's the postcard version—the beaches, the clubs, the neon lights. And then there's the reality—the concrete, the heat, and the code that governs the streets. With their new single "Dade County Steppaz," Fayn and V.E.G.A. rip up the postcard and shove the reality right in your face. This isn't a welcome wagon; it's a border patrol.

Produced by City Official, the track is a stomping, 100 BPM monster that sounds like a marching band for the goons. From the opening bars, the duo makes it clear: if you're not from here, and you're not paying respect, you're a target. They break down the economics of the block, where "out of towners" are seen as food and "acting like you bout it" is a quick way to get checked. It’s aggressive, it’s territorial, and it’s incredibly authentic to the spirit of the 305.

V.E.G.A. shines with a verse that is pure Miami history, referencing the USA Flea Market and the grim realities that shaped him. He doesn't shy away from the "ugly" side of the city; he wears it like armor. Fayn matches him step for step, declaring that Dade County "only breeds bosses" and cementing their lineage by claiming the title of the "new 2 Live Crew." It’s a bold claim, but on a track this hard, they back it up.

ADD TO YOUR PLAYLIST

"Dade County Steppaz" is a necessary anthem for a city that often gets misrepresented. It’s a reminder that behind the luxury cars and the VIP sections, there is a real, dangerous, and proud community that demands respect. This is music for the gym, for the car ride through the hood, and for anyone who refuses to back down. Fayn and V.E.G.A. have drawn a line in the sand. Which side are you on?
